Our client is one of the largest Caterpillar dealers in the world, offering a range of Caterpillar machinery, engines and power systems as well as work tools and equipment to heavy industry – building construction, forestry, heavy construction, marine, mining, highway, quarry and aggregation.
For our Client, we currently seek an experienced candidates for position of:
Plant Mechanics / HD Fitter

Key responsibilities:
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to large Caterpillar fleets,
• Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of machinery to meet customer demands and assembling of new machine on large Caterpillar fleets,
• Component change outs, in fully testing and adjusting all systems; and component overalls/repairs to customer requirements,
• Diagnose and fault finding and troubleshooting on Heavy Equipment,
• Complete service reports and identify parts requirements,
• Work in small highly motivated teams to achieve deadlines,
• Risk Assessments for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment,
• Reporting to the Branch Coordinator,
• Carry out all mechanical repairs & maintenance on Caterpillar & non-Caterpillar products both in the Workshop and on Field Service.
Requirements:
• Applicant must be qualified Plant or Heavy Duty Mechanics - Trade Qualification,
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Caterpillar large equipment,
• Valid current Driver’s License – preferably Heavy Duty Vehicles,
• Able to read and understand Hydraulic and Electrical Schematics,
• Extensive Caterpillar and associated product knowledge,
• Able to work competently unsupervised,
• Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance.
